Maneo skincare concept: three white pump bottles with mint, lavender and blue halftone graphics.

A clearer starting point for everyday skincare.

The brief

A clearer starting point for everyday skincare.

Maneo is a fictional skincare brand I developed as a concept project at Vaughn. The brief imagined a science-led range for acne, signs of aging and hydration, made for people fitting skincare into busy city and suburban lives.

The design problem was practical: give the range enough clinical clarity to feel considered, enough warmth to feel approachable, and a system that helps someone understand what each bottle is for. I treated the identity and packaging as one connected experience, from recognizing the name to choosing a product.

A small plus with a clear purpose.

The identity

A small plus with a clear purpose.

I started with the lowercase m in Museo Moderno and reshaped its center around a plus sign. The rounded form keeps the mark open and friendly; the plus nods to the science at the heart of the concept.

The symbol also becomes the first letter of maneo. It can stand alone or live inside the wordmark without changing the brand's character. That gives the identity a useful range of expression while keeping the name easy to recognize.

Three needs. One recognizable family.

The packaging system

Three needs. One recognizable family.

White bottles, generous space and a consistent label structure give every product the same foundation. Color and graphic shape then do the work of telling them apart.

Mint green (#A7D6BA) identifies Clear as Day Acne Serum. Soft lavender (#A58AC8) identifies Wrinkle Warrior Renewal Cream. Cool blue (#7FD1E5) identifies Glow On Hydration Booster. Each color carries through the mark, halftone artwork and pump detail, so the range holds together without making the products look interchangeable.

The product names stay in the same place on every bottle. The system is designed to help people find their choice again and give a future product somewhere clear to belong.

Progress, expressed one dot at a time.

The visual language

Progress, expressed one dot at a time.

The halftone graphics turn a shared technique into three distinct cues: a circle for the acne serum, a flowing wave for renewal, and a water drop for hydration. Their gradual shifts in density express the idea of improvement through a consistent routine.

The graphic, color and product name each have a job, and the white space lets them do it. Together they give Maneo a visual language that can carry from packaging into a product page or a launch campaign.

Clearer choices. A stronger first impression.

An imagined launch

Clearer choices. A stronger first impression.

I wrote an imagined launch scenario for this concept brand. In that fictional launch, we celebrated a 25% increase in product-page add-to-cart rate, an 18% increase in repeat orders, and two independent retail partners stocking the complete range. These figures are illustrative, not measured client results.

The scenario gives the design a business context: a range people can navigate, a brand they can recognize again, and a coherent family a retailer can present together.

The finished work brings that intention into view: one identity, three clear product choices, and a system with room to grow.
